Ray Magliozzi Net Worth: Ray Magliozzi was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts in March 1949. Ray is best known for being the co host of the NPR radio show Car Talk along with his brother Tom Magliozzi. The brothers delivered the commencement speech at MIT in 1999. Ray educated science before he started a do it yourself repair shop named Hacker’s Harbor with Tom. They were encouraged to be a part of a panel of automotive specialists on Boston’s National Public Radio affiliate in 1977. The brothers won a Peabody Award for Car Talk in 1992. They ceased making new episodes of Car Talk in September 2012 but the show kept airing reruns. Tom Magliozzi passed away in November 2014 from complications as an effect of Alzheimer’s disease. The brothers also appeared in the Pixar movie Cars in 2006 playing the owners of Rust-eze.
