Paul Teutul Sr was born on May 1st, 1949 in Yonkers, NY. Paul Teutul Sr’s lifelong love affair with bikes started in the 70’s when he was inspired by movies like, “Easy Rider” and “Hells Angels on Wheels”. His love failed to merely finish with riding motorcycle as he shortly became associated with the manufacturing work. Paul finally passed his love of motorcycles onto his sons Paul Teutul Jr and Michael. The company became an enormous success.

It was also around this time that Teutul started assembling custom motorcycles for his own satisfaction modeled after the ones he saw in movies as well as to the roads. By 1999 Teutul felt assurance enough in his customs motorcycles which he left Orange County Iron Works and opened up Orange County Choppers. Shortly the motorcycles started to sell like crazy and Teutul was starting to develop a name for him. Teutul is an extremely brilliant businessman using a famous bad temper. Together with the custom motorcycles, his relationship together with his sons, and his emerging standing as an effective businessman, Hollywood soon came calling. In 2003 the Teutuls started their successful television series “American Choppers”. The show is a behind the scenes appearance of Orange County Choppers but on a more private level this is a peak hole to the entire world of a dad and his son as they work on their craft. The show has located a devoted audience and loved a successful 165 episodes over six seasons.
