Dennis Hopper was an American performer, filmmaker and artist who had a net worth of $40 million dollars. Dennis started studying in the Old Globe Theatre and after the Actors Studio and fell in love with William Shakespeare’s work. Dennis debuted to the big screen alongside James Dean in 1955’s “Rebel Without a Cause” and later “Giant”. His first starring role came in 1961’s thriller “Night Tide”. Following a dispute in the set of “From Hell to Texas”, Hopper had trouble finding work and after said John Wayne saved his performing career by hiring him for “The Sons of Katie Elder” in 1965.

Not long after that, Hopper checked into rehabilitation in 1983. 3 years later, Hopper appeared in “Blue Velvet” and then earned an Academy Award nod for “Hoosiers”. After directing “Colours”, Hopper received an Emmy nomination for “Paris Trout” and “Doublecrossed”. When not playing, Hopper was an active painter and photographer featured in “Better Homes and Gardens”. His work was shown in displays in areas like Washington, D.C., Minneapolis, Amsterdam, Vienna and Paris. Hopper expired on May 29, 2010, from prostate cancer.
