In 1968, on a yearly LP released by the group, he was the featured singer (as Steve Collins) on "California Dreamin'". Also in the group at that time, singing bass, was David Eisenhower (Class of 1970). Eisenhower was the grandson of the former President, and soon-to-be son-in-law to the next President, Richard Nixon, who had been Vice-President to his grandfather.
