Born in Meridian, Mississippi, Sela Ward graduated from the University of Alabama, where she was a double major in Art and Promotion. After moving to NY to continue a lifetime career in marketing, she started modeling to supplement her income as a storyboard artist. Eventually, Sela Ward modeling career took over, as she was signed to the Wilhemina Agency, and started appearing in print campaigns and television advertisements for customers like Maybelline.
