He was an infielder who batted substitution and threw right handed. Spiezio was an All State choice and league MVP at Morris High School. He played for the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he made the All-Big 10 Team twice. From 2000 to 2003 Spiezio played for the Anaheim Angles. He’d problems with substance abuse and played in the independent Golden Baseball League. In April 2015 it was reported that Spiezio was tased and detained after smashing a neighbor’s window.
