This show became the basis for his hottest comic strip, “Beetle Bailey”. At its most popular, “Beetle Bailey” was read by 200 million people daily. He also started the spinoff comic strips, “Hi and Lois”, “Boner’s Ark”, “Sam’s Strip”, and “Sam and Silo”, among many more.
