Born in Welwyn Garden City, England, Mick Taylor grew up in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, England, and started playing guitar when he was in elementary school. Mick started playing in various bands during high school, and one night while out with buddies, he offered to replace Eric Clapton, when the famed guitarist failed to arrive to get a gig with the group, The Bluesbreakers. Mick played nicely, and also a year later, he was requested to join the group permanently. Mick played together with the group for the next three years.

He’s released two solo albums, and is a guest performer for actually numerous tracks throughout his career. Recently, Mick Taylor announced he was nearly broke and was going to pursue legal action against his former band mates. Mick asserted that The Stones had withheld countless dollars worth of royalties that he brought in over the last 20 years.
