Lloyd Bridges Net Worth $15 Million Dollars
Lloyd Bridges Net Worth: Lloyd Bridges was an American actor who had a net worth of $15 million. Born Lloyd Vernet Bridges, Jr (January 15, 1913 — March 10, 1998) in Los Angeles, California, he’d starred in numerous television series and appeared in more than 150 feature films. A member of the experimental Actors’ Laboratory group in the mid-1930s, Lloyd made his debut as an actor on Broadway with “Othello” in 1939. A couple of years later, he was already signed by Columbia and appeared in projects of varying quality, including “Here Comes Mr. Jordan” and “Talk of the Town”. The 1950s saw Lloyd Bridges perform in the cult sci-fi film, “Rocketship Z-M”. Through the decade Bridges was also ‘graylisted’ from the Hollywood A list as a result of his earlier radicalism and guessed anti-American tendencies. This made him move into television, where he soon found great success in “Sea Hunt”. With all the endless reruns of the most popular program of the age, Bridges became both a star plus a millionaire. Subsequent TV appearances like “The Lloyd Bridges Show” failed to recoup Sea Hunt’s success. It wasn’t until until 1980’s “Airplane!” that Bridges found his crowd again, this time with a brand new style — zany screwball comedy. In its sequel “Airplane II”, “Joe vs. the Volcano” and the two “Hot Shots” movies, Bridges seemed to shine in goofy funny character throughout the 1980s. Off screen, Lloyd Bridges was a fervent environmentalist and campaigner on green problems, active in the American Oceans Campaign and Los Angeles’ “Heal the Bay” campaign, among many more. Bridges died of natural causes on March 10, 1998.
