Charley Pride is an American former country musician who has a net worth of $3 million. Produced in Sledge, Mississippi on March 18, 1938, Pride is best known for being the best selling performer on RCA Records since Elvis Presley. He was one of very few African American performers to get success in country music. He is created in singing and guitar and was correlated with RCA, 16th Avenue, and Music City. He was a minority owner of the Texas Rangers major League Baseball club. He started playing guitar when he was a teenager but abandoned it briefly to pitch for the Memphis Red Sox in Negro American League baseball. Pride returned to music while playing baseball and managed to record tunes at Sun Studios and launch his music career. He is married to his wife Rozene and has three children by the names of Kraig, Dion, and Angela. Pride had a tumour on his vocal cord in 1997 that was surgically removed at the University of Arkansas.
