Aron Ralston Net Worth $4 Million Dollars

Aron Ralston net worth: Aron Ralston is an American mountaineer, outdoorsman, and motivational speaker that has a net worth of $4 million dollars. After employed as a mechanical engineer at Intel for several years, he chose to leave that life behind, and moved to Colorado to concentrate on mountain climbing. His aim was to climb the “fourteneers”, fifty nine mountains in Colorado that are all over 14,000 feet high. In 2005, he became the first person to climb all of them solo and in winter months. In 2003, while on a solo climb, he became trapped by a boulder. After five days, he realized that the only approach to free himself was to cut off his own arm. He broke the bones of his arm and amputated it using a pocket knife, then rappelled down a cliff face, and trekked his way out from the canyon. His ordeal was afterwards turned into the Oscar-nominated film, “127 Hours” starring James Franco. Aron now works primarily as a motivational speaker.

1Admits that the accident that left him pinned in a canyon for five days was no one's fault but his own, because he failed to inform anyone as to his location - the number one rule in hiking alone.
2April/May 2003: With no water and little hope of survival, Aspen mountaineer Aron Ralston used a pocketknife to amputate his own arm and free himself from a boulder weighing 800-1,000 pounds that fell and trapped him for five days in a remote desert canyon in eastern Utah. His story 'Between A Rock And A Hard Place' was later published by Simon & Schuster.

1I limited myself to one shout a day. But I didn't like the sound of my voice. It sounded panicked, it sounded scared. And I knew from experience you can't hear more than 50 yards either way down a canyon.
